Attendance and Absence Rules 2026
Absence and Interruption Policies:
- A trainee is considered academically active if and only if they complete the academic orientation form within two weeks of the starting date (will be available on Moodle and closes on January 29, 2026).
- Interruption: A trainee is considered interrupted (transferred immediately to deferral) if they fail to attend all lectures for a maximum of 3 weeks from the start of actual classes (without referral, as rules are generalized in advance).
- Absence:
- A. First verbal warning for each subject if not attended after the first week of study (second week of the training quarter).
- B. Second written warning of deprivation if all lectures of the subject are missed after two weeks of study (3rd week of the training quarter).
- C. Subject deprivation and failure if all lectures are missed after 3 weeks of study (4th week of the training quarter).
- Lateness: A trainee is considered late if they arrive 15 minutes after the lecture starts. Attendance grades differ from lateness grades.
Absence Table during Training:
| Lectures per Week | Total Lectures | Absences | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 16 | 2 | First verbal warning |
| 4 | - Second written warning of deprivation (4 absences) - Deprivation if one more lecture is missed after the second warning (Deprivation = Subject Failure) | ||
| 3 | 24 | 3 | First verbal warning |
| 5 | - Second written warning of deprivation (5 absences) - Deprivation if one more lecture is missed after the second warning (Deprivation = Subject Failure) |
Rules must be generalized to trainers, emphasizing the importance of monitoring attendance and immediately notifying the supervisor of violations.
The quality of academic outcome and scientific value are directly proportional to the commitment to academic rules.
